Itinerario

• Day 1 -Cusco – Capuliyoc – Chiquisca

  • Pick-up from hotels, hostels, or family homes between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m.

  • Private transport from Cusco to Capuliyoc (2,900 m / 9,514 ft), approximately 4 hours. Breakfast along the way (not included).

  • At Capuliyoc, we will pass the government checkpoint to register and officially enter the route.

  • Luggage allowance: up to 5 kg (11 lbs) per person, carried by muleteers on horseback.

  • Begin the trek: descent to Chiquisca (8 km / approx. 4 hours).

  • Dinner and overnight in Chiquisca at local lodges (shared rooms: double, triple, quadruple, or matrimonial).

  • Meals included: lunch, afternoon tea, dinner (breakfast not included).

• Day 2 -Chiquisca – Apurímac River – Maranpata

  • Early wake-up at 5:00 a.m. and breakfast.

  • Descent to the Apurímac River and crossing at Rosalina Bridge (1,470 m / 4,822 ft).

  • From there, begin the steep ascent to Maranpata (2,850 m / 9,350 ft), passing through the villages of Santa Rosa Baja, Santa Rosa Alta, and Ucchuyhuerta.

  • Approximate hiking time: 6 hours.

  • Dinner and overnight in Maranpata.

  • Meals included: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner.

• Day 3 -Maranpata – Choquequirao – Chiquisca

  • Early departure after breakfast (5:00 a.m.) toward the Choquequirao archaeological complex (4 km / approx. 1h 30m).

  • Guided tour of the park and free time to explore and take photos (approx. 4.5 hours).

  • Return to Maranpata for lunch.

  • Afterward, descend to Rosalina Bridge and continue the ascent to Chiquisca.

  • Long day of trekking: 9–10 hours total.

  • Dinner and overnight in Chiquisca.

  • Meals included: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner.

• Day 4 -Chiquisca – Capuliyoc – Cusco

  • Early breakfast and ascent of about 4 hours to Capuliyoc.

  • End of the trek.

  • Private transport back to Cusco, arriving around 2:30 p.m.

  • Meals included: breakfast.
